SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE gets 10 nominations at Oscars

When SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE arrived nobody had the slightest of idea that it would achieve such great heights almost sweeping away all the award functions. Be it BAFTA or Golden Globe awards SLUMDOG is gaining eyes from everywhere. Just few days back this British-Indian movie bagged 4 Golden Globes for itself, including one for our maestro music composer A R Rahman.

And now it is heard that SLUMDOG has made its splendid entry into the highly regarded and most vied for Oscars. Yes the Danny Boyle’s Golden Globe-winner SLUMDOG has won ten nominations at Oscars which will be held on February 22nd. For Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Motion Picture, Best movie, Best Director for Danny Boyle and Best Original score, Best original song for ’Jai Ho’ and ’O Saaya’, Best sound mixing, Best sound editing, Best editing and Best cinematography at the Oscars. Out of which Rahman got himself nominated for three Academy awards Best Original Score, Best Original Song : Jai Ho (A R Rahman and Gulzar), O Saya (A R Rahman and Maya Arulpragasam).

After winning a Golden globe for India now we all are upbeat about Rahman’s winning at Oscars as well. Infact there is a strong undercurrent flowing in the B-town that Rahman will definitely bring the coveted Oscar trophy to India for which it has been waiting for years.

Well all we can say is ALL THE VERY BEST for Oscars and hope you make us proud.

You too can add to all the zillion wishes written for Rahman
