The Raju brothers, Ramalinga Raju, former chairman of Satyam computers and Rama Raju, Managing director of Satyam will be jailed at least till January 16. The bail application will come up for hearing on January 16.
The CB CID is seeking their custody and SEBI also wants to grill the brothers. The Rajus are said to have systemically manipulated the company records and cooked up balance sheets for the past seven years.
A legal team consisting of 25 senior and experienced lawyers is now being pressed into service to defend the Rajus.
Ramalinga Raju has not sought any special treatment form the jail authorities and he is being served jail food that is served to any other prisoner. The doctors are examining him every day
