The sensational music director AR Rehman has bagged another unique distinction. Rehman becomes the first Indian to bag the prestigious Golden Globe award.
The award comes to him for his music for the film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. The film is about a poor guy living in a slum in Mumbai. He goes on to win the first prize in a music reality show and also wins over his lover.
Slumdog Millionaire has been produced by Anil Kapoor and Irfan Khan. The film is based on a novel written by Vikas Swaroop. Gulzar has bagged the best lyricist award for his song ‘Jayahooo…’ The film has also bagged awards for best screenplay and best director.
