Ram Gopal Varma has started shooting for his ambitious project Rann, but not before a last minute change in the film’s cast. Raima Sen is no longer part of the film and replacing her is Neetu Chandra.
The reason given to Raima is that she is not suitable for the role. More amused than upset, Raima recalls a hilarious moment when the Rann director informed her of the change in cast. “Ramu said that he had re-written the part and I was not suitable for it. I found that strange. How can a character be changed just a few days prior to the shoot?”
Raima was later told by the dress designer of the film that she was replaced because there was ‘a sexy item song’ in the film, which apparently Raima wouldn’t be able to carry off. “But we had discussed the ‘sexy item song’ for three months. I seemed capable of carrying it off well then. Now suddenly, I’m not right for the song? It seems very strange to me. I gave up a Bengali and Tamil film to do Rann.”

Kamma Lobby To Kick TRS For Mahakootami
Kamma lobby is seriously looking out to kick out TRS from Mahakootami as it is bringing bigger damage for TDP than being advantageous. KCR is playing a ‘match fixing’ game just by taking money. He is placing all dummy candidates those lose in elections. The crazy NRIs those want a ticket to contest ‘at any cost’ are most wanted for KCR now. He bagged around Rs 300 Cr with this match fixing so far, say inside sources. It is said that KCR is however decided that his party wouldn’t see brightness in this election anyway. Hence he is not even coming out for campaigning. He is worried about hot summer on one side and also the shortage of time on other. Praja Rajyam Party leader Pavan Kalyan has given a call to Communist Party of India (Maoist) activists to come into the mainstream of society to bring about a peaceful change by fighting against corruption.
Addressing a large gathering at the market centre in the town, kicking off his two-day road show in Palnadu area of Guntur district on Saturday, he said that naxalites should not remain in the forests or go underground if they had real zeal to cleanse the society of criminals, cheats and corrupt people.
‘For social change’
He said that revolutionary movements had begun due to the alleged inefficient administration of the State, with corrupt politicians at the helm of affairs.
The Praja Rajyam Party was one such political party that believed in bringing a change in the society with social justice, he added
Revolution was the natural outcome of oppression of some classes, he said in his film style of dialogue delivery, which brought cheers from the people.
He identified drinking water as the main problem that was not addressed by the successive governments and promised to bring drinking water along with irrigation water to towns so that parched throats could be quenched. While there was good response to his speech in Vinukonda town at other places till he reached Dachepalli there was lukewarm response with hardly some hundreds of people attending his meetings.
Palnadu region development would be on top of the party’s agency, he said and added that the floor of the Assembly would be the future battleground to do justice to the downtrodden and SC, ST and BCs.
The Yuva Rajyam district convener Tulasi Dharma Charan and party ticket aspirant Ammireddy Anji Reddy went round with him. He will continue his journey from Dachepalli to Nagarjuna Sagar on Sunday.
Meanwhile, there were some tense moments at Karempudi when Praja Rajyam Party workers manhandled a videographer of a satellite news channel at a temple close to the cement factory here, while he was filming the cine actor Pavan Kalyan praying there by breaking a coconut on Saturday evening.
The PRP Youth wing president Pavan Kalyan’s supporters took strong objection to the I-News videographer Sheik Asmathullah filming the scenes and hit him on his forehead leading to bleeding injuries. When the other media persons came to know of this, all of them boycotted the coverage of Pavan Kalyan’s tour of Palnadu region in Guntur district and sat on a dharna on the road here.
After half-an-hour of dharna, the Guntur district Yuva Rajyam convener Tulasi Charan talked to the media persons and tendered an apology for the incident and the roadshow of the PRP began after a 45-minute delay.

Megastar’s house in Tirupathi @one lakh per month
The Praja Rajyam chief Chiranjeevi has finally decided to take a house on rent in Tirupathi. The decision comes in the wake of criticism by his opponents that he is an outsider and not a local.
The PRP activists have taken a two-storied building on rent in the Khadi colony in Tirupathi. The house belongs to Sasidhar Reddy of Rama Devi hospital.
Chiranjeevi has taken the building on lease for a period of two months. He will pay a monthly rent of one lakh rupees and an agreement to this effect has been signed.

NTR advised 6-weeks rest
NTR is now fine and out of danger. He has presently been put up in ICU at KIMS hospital in Secunderabad. He had severe injuries in a road accident last night when his car collided with another car in opposite direction. NTR had minor surgeries but he is completely safe now. Doctors at KIMS said he had three broken ribs, slight compression in the lower spinal cord and he has been advised bed rest for at least 6 weeks. Doctors said there were abrasions on his arms, back and shoulders. No major surgery needs to be done, they said.

Indian actress Tabu, who is well known for her acting skills in off beat as well as commercial movies, is said to eyeing on Tollywood as her Bollywood film career seems to be a bit dull. Tabu, who is reaching her forties in a couple of years is planning to settle down in matrimonial bliss in 2010 and so is open to all types of film roles in this year.

Charantej Speaks About ‘Magadheera‘!!!
Mega Powerstar Ramcharan Teja who is all set to arrive with his forthcoming venture ‘Magadheera’ seems to be in for a different recipe this time. Given the fact that experimental cinema and subjects related to karmic theories and past life sentiments are finding good response, he seems to be in for one now.
Recently, Charan was sharing his thoughts with the media about his movie and he revealed that the movie revolves in two phases and is ideally a love story. While the first one takes place about four hundred years ago the second one takes place in the current time.
The lucky lady to get romanced both times is none other than the saucy seductress Kajal Agarwal and this is perhaps the first time that the tough taskmaster S S Rajamouli is dealing with a reincarnation subject and so is Charan. Let us see whether their experiment becomes a success or not.

Adnan Sami gets relief with his wife Sabah
Something similar to an end of a TV serial, the Adnan Sami’s long episode also has come to a logical conclusion.
We are aware of his wife, Sabah Galadhari’s complaints alleging harassment by Adnan. She further claimed ownership of the five in one flat at posh locality in Mumbai. But all through, Adnan maintained his silence and concentrated on his ailing father.
The Mumbai criminal court transferred this case to a family court citing absence of any criminal content.
In the meantime, there were reports of Adnan’s mother and his first wife joining hands and trying to support Adnan.
Ultimately, Sabah was asked to validate the claim/complaint. For this Sabah had to prove that she was subjected to physical abuse. She could not find a way and hence there are reports that she has decided to withdraw the case of domestic violence. But, her lawyer Mrunalini Deshmukh, must still be smelling some money in the case as the divorce matter is still active.

Salman's eyes were pinned on Mallu beauty Asin who is working with him for the film London Dreams.
Asin’s father Joseph Tottumkal has been accompanying the actress from many years as her manager. That has irritated Salman Khan as he hardly gets time to be ‘friendly’ with Asin.
Salman warned Joseph stating, “You are father to her and keep that relation only at home. Fathers are not allowed in shooting sets. If you claim yourself to be her manager, then just behave like manager. Give me privacy when I wish to talk to Asin in private. If you don’t agree with my words, I don’t mind going to any extent with Asin just in front of your eyes. Don’t assume that your presence stops everyone from making ‘friendship’ with Asin”.

Sandhya is the new Chandramukhi
It is known that director P. Vasu is working on a sequel to Aptha Mitra, which was remade as Chandramukhi in Tamil. The Tamil version, which had Rajinikanth, Jyothika and Nayanthara, went on to become a smash hit. The director has commenced work on its sequel in Kannada and has named it Aptha Ratchaga. Earlier P. Vasu had planned to sign up Sneha for the leading role but due to call sheet issues she could not make it. It now appears that Sandhya has been signed for the project and the shooting is currently on in Pazhani.

Start, Camera, Action! - Mahesh Babu
Start, Camera, Action! These are the words that every actor loves to listen. But our top hero Mahesh Babu has been missing the studio environment for the last one and half years. Although he has faced the camera for ad commercials, he has not shot for film in the last 16 or 17 months. His fans have been restless and eagerly waiting for their start to face the movie camera. And finally, he does. He has started shooting for his new film from today (Wednesday, March 25, 2009). Currently, a romantic scene (teasing sequence in a bedroom) on Mahesh Babu and heroine Anushka is being shot at a specially erected set at Annapoorna Studios.
Mahesh Babu has joined the shoot and will continue shooting for this schedule that lasts another 20 days and later the shoot would shift to Nasik and Kerala. The film is directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by Singanamala Ramesh. Manisharma composes music. Sunil Patel (from Bollywood) handles the cinematography. 
'Subramaniapuram' in Telugu as 'Ananthapuram'
Tamil super hit movie, Subramamaniapuram is now being dubbed into Telugu. The movie was earlier planned for remake but the producers felt that it is impossible to bring out the same feel in the remake. So they are dubbing it with the name of Ananthapuram 1980. The movie is a nostalgic drama with revenge angle. Telugu heroine Colors Swathi played heroine in it. M Ranganath is producing the film under Simhapuri Talkies banner. Sasi Kumar has directed it. The movie is expected to release next month.
