Yesteryear’s queen of vamp Jyothilakshmi is back. Known for her ‘sizzling hot’ numbers in many super hit films of 70’s, Jyothilakshmi is one of the original item girls in Tollywood. But then they were called vamps. The yesteryear actress is now back in a film starring Namita as the lead actress.
In the remake of Jaganmohini, she is playing the role of a mother to the heroine Namita. The film stars Raja, Namita and Meera Chopra in the lead roles and is produced by Murali in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously. N K Vishwanathan is directing it. The film is slated for January 2009 release.
Apart from playing mother to Namitha, Jyothilakshmi has also done a song. Recently, underwater sequences were shot in Andaman Islands. - (telugucinema)
