New Jersey Aug 02, 2008(IBNLive): Rajnikanth’s fans in the US have a sweet reason to flock to theaters screening Kuselan in major markets like New Jersey, Chicago, the San Francisco Bay Area and Dallas, they can munch on their superstar in the form of customised M&M candy.
“If he comes in a screen one scene that’s enough to see the movie for me,” says Magesh, a Rajinikanth fan in New Jersey.
“When I was in Chennai I used to watch in Albert, Udaya. This is the first time I’m watching in New Jersey. So I’m very happy about it,” says Rajan, another Rajini’s fan.
The much-awaited movie of the Tamil superstar, Kuselan, has been released at 50 locations across the US, including San Fransisco, Chicago and Dallas. It is the biggest release for a non-Bollywood movie in the country so far.
The distributors, Pyramid Saimira, are also creating some galleta worthy of a Rajnikanth movie in America.
“There were a lot of requests last time when Shivaji was shown that we should also have cutout and we should have milk abhishekam and stuff like that. I mean we believe there are very good Rajni fans in this country,” says Saimira.
Apart from the giant posters, there are other marketing gimmicks and contests to keep Rajni fans happy.
