Nothing succeeds like success and when it’s success at the Oscars, one can be sure the hysteria will last long. Elections, politics, Mahashivaratri and everything else was forgotten as anyone and everyone who had even a passing acquaintance with A R Rahman came forward to share with the media their experiences. But this one takes the cake - a prominent Tollywood music director Koti who was asked to share with TV viewers his experiences with Rahman, decided to deliver his congratulatory message directly.
Perhaps he intended to demonstrate how close he is to Rahman, but things got out of hand when he went on to show a photo of him kissing Rahman on the cheek at a function a few years ago and yelled, "Rahman, come back soon, you don’t know how happy and excited I am, I will hug and kiss you a thousand times!" To top it all, he even shed tears of happiness on screen, apologised for it and resumed his emotional message again.
Maybe this man’s experience as a judge on a musicbased reality show has made him this way, but we think he has a great future as an actor of melodramatic TV soaps.
