Number one position was occupied by M G Ramachandran second ws Shivaji Ganeshan, Third place went to Vijay, he over took Rajinikanth. Results show Rajini position detoriated this year.he most popular among the actresses was Saroja Devi followed by former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha. K.R. Vijaya and Jyothika bagged the third and fourth position respectively. Kushboo, the favorite among the actress, took the fifth position.
