Mumait Khan beats Mallika Sherawat

Item girl Mumait Khan of Dekh Le fame in Munnabhai MBBS has been roped in to play an important negative role in Kamal Haasan’s next, Marmayogi.

Kamal who is not only acting in this Rs 100 crore film but also directing and co-producing it with Pyramid Saimira, first wanted Mallika Sherawat for this role. Mallika had played a negative role in his last released, Dasavathaaram and had also shown her keenness to be a part of Marmayogi. But as Mallika’s dates clashed with her Hollywood production, Hissss, she had to forego Haasan’s film.

Mumait Khan after a few item numbers in Bollywood films had turned southwards and bagged lead roles in Telugu films. She was Kamal’s next choice after getting impressed with her action role in one of her recently released Telugu films, where she played a cop.

There are two main leads in Marmayogi opposite Kamal Haasan in the film, Sivaji girl Shriya Saran and Trisha. Hema Malini has already been roped in to play the main negative role. The film also stars other big names from down south such as Venkatesh and Shobhana in key roles.

One of the interesting aspects of this biggie is that the artistes in the film would be using spray make up which is popular in Hollywood. This kind of make up ensures the same colour all over the artiste’s body. - (buzz18)
