Praja Rajyam dubs Chiru films for tribals

The Praja Rajyam president Chiranjeevi’s blockbuster movies have been dubbed into tribal languages Gondi and Gormati with new titles in order to attract tribals into the party fold. CDs of movies which were dubbed into Gondi and Gormati languages were released by tribal leaders and screened on September 11 at Jodeghat in the middle of the forest. This is where tribal legend Komuram Bheem died fighting against the Nizam’s forces.

Movies made on various themes like Indra which focuses on Rayalaseema factions, Mutamestri dealing with politics, Takoor on corruption and Kondaveeti Donga which deals with tribal problems were dubbed. The Adivasi tribals speak in Gondi while Lambadas speaks in Gormati. The party has taken legal rights for these movies to dub them. A 12-minute introduction in Gondi by Chiranjeevi has been incorporated into these movies.

Dr Appala Chakradari, a Praja Rajyam leader told this newspaper that the movies were dubbed with great difficulty in two months. He said the main dialogues in the movie were dubbed into tribal languages. It is learnt that the movies will be screened through generators in the tribal areas across the district. Efforts were also being made to bring Chiranjeevi to the tribal villages.
