Rajinikanth expresses interest to star in Arundhati

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth has sent strong feelers to star in the role of the “fakir” in Tamil version of Arundhati. When 123telugu.com contacted producer Shyam Prasad Reddy on the issue, he responded by saying that the Superstar had indeed expressed keen interest to do the role. Shyam added that “I would love Rajinikanth to do the role, but ten that would mean I have to re-shoot large portions of the film.” Shyam’s dilemma stems from the fact that the dates for the release of the Tamil version have already been announced. Arundhati’s hold on the film fraternity across languages can be gauged by Rajini’s keen interest in the project. For the record, producer Shyam is releasing a dubbed version of Arundhati in Tamil in the 3rd or 4th week of February
