The sensational music director AR Rehman has bagged another unique distinction. Rehman becomes the first Indian to bag the prestigious Golden Globe award.
The award comes to him for his music for the film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. The film is about a poor guy living in a slum in Mumbai. He goes on to win the first prize in a music reality show and also wins over his lover.
Slumdog Millionaire has been produced by Anil Kapoor and Irfan Khan. The film is based on a novel written by Vikas Swaroop. Gulzar has bagged the best lyricist award for his song ‘Jayahooo…’ The film has also bagged awards for best screenplay and best director.

Ansushka’s sword fights and horse chases
Anushka is a yoga teacher turned actress. So what is she doing with swords and horse chases? Well, Anushka is the lead actress in the film titled Arundhathi. The film is about a woman n the feudal set up who is wronged.
The woman is reborn in the present generation and she takes revenge on her tormentors in her new life. Anushka has done a good job as a rich woman in a feudal set up some 400 years ago.
The role required Ansuhka to ride horses and also involve herself in sword fights. For this, Anushka took training from specialists and she also went for riding classes. The producer and director are confident that the class act of Anusuhka will establish her as a good actress and not just a glamorous star.
Anushka will not disappoint her fans as she will sport modern outfits in her second role, which is set in the present generation. She will display her oomph and glamour in full measure in this role.

Ram’s Maska with 300 prints
The festival of Sankranthi will see just see three films this year. The films are Ram’s Sankranthi, Anushka’s Arndhati and Allari Naresh’s Fitting Master.
Maska stars Ram in the lead role and two beautiful heroines, Hansika Motwani and Sheela of Parugu fame will give him company.
The film is a mass entertainer and is also big on action and comedy. Director B Gopal is sure that he has churned out a blockbuster film. MS Raju, the producer of Maska is confident that his Sankranthi sentiment will work once again and the film will turn out to be a big hit.
Maska is being released on January 14 worldwide with a record 300 prints. The audio is rocking and the music by Chakry is stated to be another highlight of the film.

As a result, Nayanatara had no option but to cut down her remuneration drastically. She is now ready to act for 50 to 60 lakhs. Nayanatara is now acting in the Jr. NTR starrer directed by VV Vinayak. She is doing a bikini act in the film and hopes to regain her number one position.
