Mumaith Khan molested in a Bar
Recently, in the same way she was offered a remuneration of Rs 13 lakhs to participate on a sages show and Mumaith readily accepted the offer as the show was for just 3 hours.
D-Paris Pub and Restaurant was the organizer and the pub just had a capacity to accommodate 60-70 people at the most. With a full publicity of the dancing queen, the tickets were sold out like hot cakes and the free entry passes were also used to maximum. Almost 130 people gathered to look the curvy steps of Mumaith. As soon as Mumaith started her dance the crowd poured beer and whisky on to her which soaked her legs and back.
This irritated the item girl and she started walking towards the exit point, but suddenly 4 youngsters came upon the stage barging the security and caught hold of her hand. Since they were in an inebriated condition, while one of them caught hold of Mumaith, the other two were trying hard to catch hold of her secret parts and were forcing her to kiss them. Meanwhile, the bar management intervened and controlled the crowd. After Mumaith Khan left the PUB the owner of the PUB called for police help to vacate the crowd.

I don’t have time for love: Sneha Ullal
And then she did the disappearing act. But Sneha’s back now – as the lead, in her forthcoming releases. “I didn’t think that one day, I will become an actress. It was Salman who made this happen and I am very thankful to him,” says Sneha when asked about how she got to be an actress.
And now she’s starring opposite Sahil, a stark newcomer. Sneha will also soon be seen in an English film with Anupam Kher, directed by Tom George. “I am very excited I got the chance to work with Anupamji, also, this is my first Hollywood project,” she says. And because she’s so busy, says Sneha, she has no time for love. “I am single and don’t have time for love,” she says.
Ankita is extra glamorous now
Tsunami 7X, which also stars Raghu Babu, Krishna Bhagavan and Sunitha, is about small misunderstandings between family members which snowball into a big family feud due to circumstances.
With Tsunami 7X awaiting release, she has already begun to get offers for other films but Ankita is showing great patience as she does not want to jeopardize her career which seems to have gotten a second lease of life. Not just Tollywood, she has also been getting offers from Kollywood where she made her debut (in London opposite Prashanth) ever since the news of her glamour spread.
Tsunami 7X, directed by M.A. Chowdary, is produced by G. Madhukar and Srinivas Babu under V International banner. Just the name tsunami sends shivers down the spine of many but for Ankita it is bringing some luck! - (galatta)

Ramba and Prakash raj in "Pratikshanam"
Rambha's new film is a bilingual in Telugu and Tamil. Prakash Raj is playing a big role in the film. The film has been titled as Prathikshanam in Telugu. Rambha has denied rumours about her venturing into the small screen. Rambha was the judge for a TV show and this has sparked rumours about her entry into TV. She has said that she will think about TV sometime in the future. Now she will only concentrate on movies.
Salman doesn’t mind me working with other actors: Katrina
While trade pundits call her a ‘lucky charm’, she objects to the tag. “It’s unfair. I don’t understand what people mean by luck. A film does well when it has a good script and good performances,” Kaif reasons.
With her next, Subhash Ghai’s Yuvvraaj, where she’s paired with her real-life lover, Kaif is confident about her good run at the box office continuing. “I play a cello player. Like all musicians, she turns to music during tough times.” Kaif, who played the piano as a child, was keen to learn a new instrument. “I was asked by Mr Ghai to learn to play the cello, just like I would learn a dance movement. I just followed instructions and was playing it even before the shoot began,” she shows off her soft smile again.
Kaif is known for subtlety but Yuvvraaj has the demure actress looking gorgeous. “The clothes have to be relevant to the story. In Austria, cellists dress in regal, classic gowns. Rocky S sourced a lot of my outfits from small Austrian boutiques and from designers like Gauri and Nainika Karan.”
This film is extra special to her because it’s her third with Salman but the first where she’s paired opposite him. “I hope its third time lucky for us,” she remarks casually. Kaif also admits she was anxious that their off-screen chemistry might make their on-screen pairing slightly uncomfortable.
“Sometimes when you know the person well, you tend to go overboard. But I was relieved to see the promos,” she says. The Britain-born actress is also seen speaking fluent Hindi in the promos. “But I can’t help the accent,” she complains. In an effort to blend into India, she’s also taken to the music of AR Rehman. “When I first came here, I found it difficult to understand his style. But it slowly grows on you. It’s timeless,” she says.
Kaif is modest enough to acknowledge good friend Akshay Kumar’s role in shaping her career. “Akshay has helped me a lot. I’m looking forward to our next, Priyadarshan’s De Dhana Dhan,” she says, and adds quickly, “And no, Salman doesn’t have a problem with me working with other actors.”
While directors like Imtiaz Ali, Yash Chopra and Raju Hirani are on her wish list, she’s happy to have bagged roles in Prakash Jha’s political potboiler Rajneeti, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani with Ranbir Kapoor and a Yashraj film. “I’ve done a variety of films to establish myself. But now, I want to play stronger characters. Katrina in 2009 is going to be different from Katrina in 2008,” she insists. We’re still not tired of the old Kat.
Fresh jitters for Balaiah
The government has instructed the Commissioner of Inquiries to figure ou twhether the police officers were lax in their investigation of the case and whether it resulted in filing a ’weak chargesheet’ against the actor.
Specifically the role of the investigating officer, assistant commissioner Chandramouli and two of his sub inspectors will be looked into. The instructions come close on the heels of Balakrishna joining active politics last fortnight and after he has positioned as the star campaigner for the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) at the Yuva Garjana of the party at Guntur.
It is believed that the Commissioner of Inquiries — Chandana Khan — has already begun her work and called for witnesses in the case to find out what happened on that fateful night in June 2004 in which two film personalities Bellamkonda Suresh and Satyanarayana Chowdary were allegedly shot at by Balakrishna at his Jubilee Hills residence.
Following a statement by the duo, Balakrishna was arrested by the police under section 307 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the IPC and section 25 and 27 of the Arms Act. Later his wife Vasundhara was booked for concealing evidence and driver Kankaiah for destroying evidence.
But in a dramatic turnaround, the two victims changed their statements later and said that though they were shot at and injured, they were not sure who had fired at them. This in the ultimate analysis had helped the accused go scot free.
The Commissioner of Inquiries has to specifically find out the circumstances under which the police officers allowed this change of statement and whether they challenged this in the court of law.
The Commissioner of Inquiries will not find her job easy and her first notice has already been ignored by the witnesses who were called to testify.
Analysts say that if Chandana Khan finds lapses in the police investigations, this will come in handy for the government to reopen the case and launch a fresh investigation. The government is also planning to go to the High court to appeal against the judgment of the sessions court acquitting the accused.
High level TDP sources when quizzed by TOI about their reaction to the happenings put up a brave front and said that there was nothing to worry. But sources say that this was only a public posture and privately the party bosses are quite worried about what may happen if the case is reopened.
YSR blows kisses to crowds, takes a dig at Chiranjeevi
After blowing kisses towards the crowd at Ankapalli in Visakhapatnam district, the chief minister remarked: "We don’t know twirling our moustaches and slapping our thighs. We only know how to love."
The chief minister was addressing a roadside meeting during his road-show in the coastal district on Sunday.
YSR, as the chief minister is popularly known by his initials, launched a counter-attack on Praja Rajyam Party chief Chiranjeevi, who is drawing huge crowds during his statewide yatra (tour).
While addressing a road-show in YSR’s hometown Pulivendula last week, Chiranjeevi had twirled his moustaches and slapped a thigh, re-enacting a scene from his film "Indra".
The ruling Congress party had reacted strongly to his gesture and said he was behaving like a "street rowdy".
Taking the war of words with Chiranjeevi to a new level, YSR took a dig at him for his gesticulations. "Politics is not like acting in films. A political leader needs guts to build irrigation projects," he said.
"Has anybody in the past dared to build such massive irrigation projects?" he asked the crowd while referring to an irrigation programme taken up by his government.
"Irrigation projects are necessary for cultivation, and cultivation of crops is a must for human sustenance," YSR said while targeting Chiranjeevi and Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu for criticising his government for building irrigation projects.
Vinayakudu movie contreversy
Responding to this, the makers of Vinayakudu film said that the name has been selected almost eight months back and the romantic love story was being publisized through posters and trailors. They also asked that when these organizations didnt have any problem then, why should they have a problem now.
What ever it is and who ever is doing this (the makers themselves or some one else) Vinayakudu film is getting all the necessary hype and publicity required for its success.

Dubai´s $1.5 billion Atlantis resort opens with lavish party
Dubai : The A-list celebrities came, they partied, and when the world’s biggest ever fireworks display began just after midnight, Atlantis was declared officially open and Dubai witnessed the most extravagant and expensive party in its history.
Over 2,000 of the world’s rich and famous were flown to Dubai on Thursday for the launch of the Atlantis Palm Jumeirah, a £1 billion (Rs 80 billion) mega-resort built on a man-made island shaped like a palm tree in the Persian Gulf.
At a time when recession, bailout and pink-slips are part of everyday lingo, there was little sign of parsimony as the organisers rolled out the red carpet — and presumably the cash as well — for the one-night party. The cost of the “freebie of the century”, according to London’s Daily Mail, was a mere £20 million, or Rs 160 crore.
No one paid for an air ticket and the travel bill itself was estimated to be £3 million (Rs 24 crore), the paper said. World’s top celebrities, including Robert De Niro, Charlize Theron, Lindsay Lohan, Janet Jackson, Dame Shirley Bassey, The Duchess of York, Michael Jordan, Chris Tucker and Lily Allen dined on signature dishes prepared by Atlantis’ multi-Michelin-starred chefs Santi Santamaria, Michel Rostang, Giorgio Locatelli and Nobu Matsuhisa.
And if it’s Dubai, it has to be Bollywood: besides Shah Rukh, actresses Rani Mukerji and Priyanka Chopra and movie mogul Yash Chopra rubbed shoulders with local royalty.
Atlantis Dubai, a pink maze of arches that looms large on the city’s skyline, includes an aquarium boasting 65,000 sea creatures, including sharks, eels and rays, a water park and a priceless sculpture made of 3,000 hand blown pieces of glass.
The hotel’s signature Bridge Suite, which features floor-to-ceiling views of Dubai, costs over £25,000 (Rs 20 lakh) a night. With such a select crowd at Atlantis, some will stay on for four days, there were issues over who would put up where.
Oprah, a role model for women in West Asia whose talk shows have the highest ratings in the Gulf among English language programmes, was allotted the super-exclusive suite suspended between the resort’s two towers.
But when she pulled out of the party, the honour of spending the first night went to King Khan, who owns a resort on the Palm Islands and is said to be keen on the property business in the Emirates.
The superstar pipped the likes of acting great Robert Di Niro — a partner in the Nobu restaurant chain which has a site in the resort — and Oscar winner Charlize Theron, who had to make do with lesser suites.
The highlight of the night was a gig by Australian singer Kylie Minogue and her 113-strong dance troupe on the beach. The Mail reported that the performer was paid £1.5 million (Rs 12 crore) for a 10-song 45-minute medley of her hits, which works out to some £33,333 (Rs 26.66 lakh) a minute. Besides, she got a free holiday as well.
As the clock struck midnight, the sky exploded with a fireworks show of 100 computer-guided rockets costing £7 million (Rs 56 crore), seven times bigger than the largest display to date: that for the Beijing Olympics. More than a million fireworks were launched in about 10 minutes from over 700 locations as the merry band of the bold and the beautiful cheered on.
A spectacular fireworks display was followed by an incredible video illumination sequence, introduced by Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra, who rose from the stage as the Goddess of Atlantis. Designed by Marie-Jeanne Gauthe, creative director for Jean Michel Jarre in Paris, the visual display used the 200-metre wide Royal Towers as a canvas to visualise the story of Atlantis.
Most were in happy spirit, aided undoubtedly by the approximately 1,000 bottles of Veuvre Cliquot champagne, which the Mail says was needed to wash down 1.7 metric tonnes of lobster, 4,000 oysters, 3,000 kg of smoked salmon and 5,000 portions of sushi.
But the devouring of wealth has raised a few eyebrows even in well-heeled Dubai, which too is feeling the pain of the global financial crisis. Prices of real estate on the much-vaunted Palm Jumeirah are plummeting.
“It’s not the perfect timing to open a £1-billion resort. On the other hand, we don’t build something like this with the short-term in mind,” said gaming and resort magnate Sol Kerzner, chairman and chief executive officer of Kerzner International, who made his name building South Africa’s Sun City.
“I believe Dubai will come to be one of the top destinations in the world.”
Dubai, part of the United Arab Emirates, the world’s fifth largest oil exporter, kicked off a regional real estate boom when it opened the sector to private investment in 2002. (bharatspace)
Good Bye Maa TV: NAG
Obviously both the heroes Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi has maintained a low profile as Directors of the Maa Board and gave free hand to the Maa Team to produce a quality entertainment and it proved to be a great success in the Small Screen World. But, Nag feels that the Maa Team fails to cover him either through his films or his other programmes like Audio release functions etc. as he expected in the beginning. However Nag is graciously made a move-out, with out blaming any one of his Maa Team.
On the other hand, it’s said to be the Maa TV is handed over to Sony Television Network, due to various reasons. - (bharatwaves)
Uday kiran to join TDP party
Uday had two recent releases and out of them Gundhe Jhalumandi has finally eased him out of the flop hero category. Now he is standing in between the super hit stars like Mahesh and Junior NTR and the flop stars like Tarun and Nithin.
Lover boy Uday was again called on Wednesday morning and this time by Kalyan Ram who is already campaigning for TDP circuit. The main aim of Chandra Babu is to nullify Chiranjeevi’s heroic effect by digging out the earlier matters which happened in case of Uday and his daughter’s marriage. With the support of TDP, Uday is said to ooze out the truth about Chiranjeevi in January 2009.
Some sources even say that Uday was waiting for “Oka Chance” from almost three years to speak about Chiranjeevi and he may just reveal the truth about Chiranjeevi and may get sidelined.

Pawan kalyan to contest from kadapa - Video
Shriya wants Tollywood offers?
The sexy siren gave a piece of her mind on this issue when she was in the city recently and revealed her fascination for Tollywood films.
"She has been in touch with her producer friends for quite some time," says an industry source, who claims that with her Bollywood and Hollywood dreams getting shattered, she will make a comeback. Following her ruinous Tollywood debut Ishtam, she became a hotshot star with hits like Santhosham, Tagore and Chatrapathi.
The dusky actress was also seen in Tamil and Hindi films like Sivaji and Mission Istanbul respectively. Nevertheless, Telugu audience can watch her again in bi-lingual film Mallanna opposite Vikram. Need to wait and see what her Tollywood comeback film will be! - (TNN)
Heroine Kalyani turns producer

Adhyayam is a combination of six stories with all new faces in it. The movie will have six different colours depending upon the moods of each story…so the name Adhhyayam 6 or Chapter 6.
I’m afraid to do interviews with Salman: Katrina
Q: Salman Khan has mellowed down. Are you responsible for that?
I don’t think so. If he has mellowed down, that’s wonderful. On occasion, the media can be (struggles to find the apt word) aggressive and write something hurtful. But at the end of the day, there’s no need to be upset. I’m glad that he’s more comfortable with the media.. because I think no one is against him.
Q: How would you describe your chemistry with him?
(Pause) What do you mean?
Q: I’m talking on screen, of course.
See, it’s being said that Yuvvraaj is the first film in which we’ve been teamed romantically. But I would like to point out that I’m in the film 100 per cent because of Subhash Ghai.. and not because of the pairing, which is secondary. And yeah, I think the chemistry between us is very spontaneous. It doesn’t look forced.
Q: Has the off-screen chemistry helped in achieving that?
(Smiles) Since we’ve known each other for many years now, there’s an equation. He’s a very, very special person, you have to give him a lot of leeway, space and understanding. And that’s exactly what I do when we work together as well.
Q: He’s even signed on Zarine Khan in Veer who looks like you.
(Laughs) Isn’t that flattering? I think that’s so sweet. I even helped her with her make-up during her screen test. She’s a lovely girl and I hope she does very well.. though I don’t think she looks like me. But if Salman misses me and wants to work with girls who look like me, that’s so sweet.
Q: You’ve said he is very unromantic.
I was speaking as someone who knows him, and not in an intimate way.
Q: You were supposed to do all your interviews together, but now you are..
(Cuts in) No that wasn’t the promotional strategy at all. I’ve always given interviews on my own. But yeah, we are doing a few interviews together for news channels in Delhi. Having said that, Salman’s too unpredictable. (Laughs) I’m afraid to do interviews with him.. you never know what he’ll end up saying.
Q: Subhash Ghai has said that there’s not much of a role for the female lead in Yuvvraaj.
Now, where did you get that? He’s a legendary director and has a reputation for showcasing his heroines. I wanted that experience, even though I knew I wasn’t the central character. (Laughs) Salman has pointed out too that Yuvraaj can’t obviously be about me.
Q: The critics had written you off as just a pretty face.. did that hurt?
I don’t think I’ve faced an unreasonable amount of criticism. My initial goal was to do many commercial movies, so I could be well known in the interiors of India. I’ll be experimenting with performance-based roles in 2009. I don’t want the audience to just think that she dances well and looks pretty.
Q: Priyanka Chopra has alluded to you.. without taking your name.. when she said she would rather be known for her performances than for giving seven hits.
(Smiles) I see everything in life with the glass half-full, not half-empty. If you think everyone wants to attack you personally, you’ll be a very lonely and unhappy person. So I would like to think she wasn’t talking about me.
Q: Have you come to terms with catfights?
Most of these are egged on by the media. I didn’t come in with a big launch film which shot me to the top immediately. I had to take baby steps, and now I’m being offered good work..so I’m very happy.
Q: You did the Temptations tour with Shah Rukh Khan. Did you discuss the Salman Khan fight with him?
No, of course not. He’s a thorough professional…we did a great show together. In fact, it was the first time I went on stage without getting the jitters.
Q: Have you tried to resolve the issue between them?
I don’t know, baba. This isn’t about me.. it’s about Salman and Shah Rukh. I know Salman for many years but I don’t control him. (Smiles) I don’t even have control over him. It’s a matter he has to sort out on his own.
Q: Has the recession affected your price?
No, not yet. I don’t think it will either, since I didn’t over-inflate my price.
Q: Are you aware that Bipasha Basu will be paid a higher fee that you for performing at a hotel on New Year’s eve?
To be honest, this game is very silly and childish. Very, very childish. I don’t like it. I have six sisters and several responsibilities. I have to make decisions which secure my future. If someone gets less money, more money or the same money, good for her. It’s not a game. I don’t care who is getting paid what. I don’t care who is doing what.
Q: Is it possible to sustain yourself in Bollywood with such an enclosed attitude?
Why not? I’m not Mother Teresa. I have my insecurities and problems like any normal person. I won’t sustain myself anywhere by pulling others down.
Q: Arbaaz Khan is producing a movie in which he wanted to cast you opposite Salman Khan. It’s rumoured that Malaika Arora-Khan wasn’t happy about this.
That’s probably the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. I can’t think of one reason why she’d have a problem with me.
Q: You seem to know how to discourage controversies.
Why would I want to encourage controverises? A lot of people have asked me how I manage to stay out of drama in my personal life. It’s because I want to avoid drama at any cost.
Q: Okay, you’ve sent your sister Isabel for an acting course to New York. Has she expressed interest in Bollywood?
I haven’t sent her.. she wanted to go, I just helped her to get admission. It’s a wonderful opportunity for her. She doesn’t know what she wants to do.. she may try her luck in Hollywood as well.
Q: Do any of your other five sisters want to act too?
(Laughs) No, they are all very settled in their respective fields. They have absolutely no interest in all this. Isabel is the only one who likes being around here.
Q: It’s rumoured that you want to marry after you finish your current assignments.
That’s ridiculous. That’s people talking nonsense, as they usually do. I have six films on hand. I’ve agreed to do four more movies.. so it will take me a while to finish them.
Q: Will you ever talk openly about your relationship with Salman Khan?
(Smiles) Never.

Nitin is hero in Ram Gopal Verma Agyaat
Ram Gopal Verma liked Nitin and decided upon him as hero for Agyaat after seeing the posters of Nitin’s telugu flick Hero. Verma approached Nitin and his father Sudhakar Reddy for the role and both of them were more than happy to approve.
Though Nitin has double hat-rick of flops in telugu, his luck seems to shine high because he is getting offers in abundance even after series of flops. While Nitin is getting ready to shoot for Agyaat, his next film in telugu Drona is getting ready for release.

India beat England lead series 3-0
Chasing 241 for a victory, the hosts were less dominating but were conscious of the Duckworth-Lewis requirement as they scored 198 for five in 40 overs before fading light necessitated an early end to the game.
India needed to score 183 for five in 40 overs under the D-L method and were declared the winners when bad light came into play.
For the hosts, Virender Sehwag topscored with 68, while Yuvraj Singh scored a brisk 38 off just 31 balls. Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni remained unbeaten on 29 to steer the team to victory in a more keenly contested tussle at the Green Park stadium.
After the early morning haze delayed the start and reduced the tie to a 49-overs-a-side affair, England captain Kevin Pietersen won the toss and had little hesitation in opting to bat first.
India now need to win the next match in Bangalore on Sunday to clinch the series by taking an unassailable 4-0 lead.
A rejigged batting order saw Ravi Bopara (60) walking out to open with Ian Bell (46) and the openers put on 79 runs before England lost the plot in the face of some disciplined bowling by the Indians and folded for 240 in 48.4 overs.
For India, Harbhajan Singh stood out, scalping three for 31, joining the 200 ODI wicket club in the process.
For the home team’s in-form and awe-inspiring batting order, the target of 241 should have been a stroll in the park. However small the target, they still needed to score those runs but a jittery start jolted them out of complacency.
A reckless Gautam Gambhir (14) and Suresh Raina (1) perished in quick succession and for India, reduced to 34 for two inside 10 overs, the chase for a modest target wasn’t a cakewalk anymore.
Andrew Flintoff banged his fifth delivery short and Gambhir charged out only to guide it to third man where a grateful Broad pouched the catch.
Flintoff tormented Suresh Raina (1) as well but it was Broad who got the left-hander when the batsman, rooted in the crease, dragged a ball onto his stumps.
Sehwag read the situation well but did not allow it to bog him down. Boundaries still came thick and fast and Sehwag enjoyed the fortune of the brave as well when Samit
Patel almost caught him off his own bowling before the ball popped out of the left-arm spinners palm.
Sehwag celebrated by clobbering Graeme Swann for a six to complete his fifty and raised 67 runs with Rohit Sharma (28) to lend some stability before trouble came in pair and both the batsmen returned in quick succession.
Rohit once again failed to convert the start and fell to Swann and then an airborne Paul Collingwood silenced the choc-a-bloc stadium by pulling off a stunner at point off Flintoff.
Sehwag left unhappy with himself, having scored 68 off 75 balls with eight fours and a six in it.
England’s nemesis Yuvraj Singh walked amid thunderous applauds and joined by captain MS Dhoni and the duo had just steadied the ship before Flintoff again turned the game on its head by removing the left-hander.
In deteriorating light, Dhoni and Yusuf Pathan (12 not out) played smart cricket to keep the team ahead in the Duckworth-Lewis chart before bad light interrupted match.
Earlier, for the first time in the series, England got off to a strong, if not spectacular, start with the Bell-Bopara duo raising 79 runs for the first wicket inside 15 overs.
It was a marked improvement by the visitors, considering the fact that the opening stand had yielded 12 and six runs respectively, in the last two matches.
With Zaheer Khan and Munaf Patel maintaining a claustrophobic line, runs were not easy to come by, let alone boundaries. To their credit, Bopara and Bell did not panic.
The run rate was nothing to write home about but England crossed the 50-mark in 11 overs without any loss. Bell greeted the erratic Ishant Sharma with two boundaries in the first over, upsetting his rhythm by repeatedly stepping out of the crease. With Bell on song, Bopara also chimed in. The Essex player proved the perfect foil for his partner and helped himself to occasional boundaries, including a couple of streaky ones.
A change in end and Munaf finally drew the first blood in the 15th over when Bell perished caught behind, four-run shy of the half-century.. Bells 47-ball 46 included eight hits to the fence.
With the opener laying the perfect foundation for a big total, England required a big knock from either Pietersen (13) or Flintoff (26) but both let the side down.
Pietersen hoicked Yuvraj Singh for a massive six to signal his intention but it was the same unbridled aggression which did him in when he went for an encore of the shot, this time against Harbhajan and ended up finding Zaheer at long-off.
Harbhajan sorted out Paul Collingwood (1) with a doosra and almost caught Flintoff off his own bowling with the ball dropped marginally short.
Yuvraj ended Boparas vigil by luring him out of the crease and Dhoni had a world of time to whip off the bail. Bopara hit eight fours en route to his 82-ball 60. With Flintoff still in the crease, Englands hopes of a big total was very much alive, till Yusuf Pathan trapped him with his second ball to pre-empt any batting fireworks by the talismanic all-rounder.
Owais Shah (40) added 36 runs with Samit Patel (29) before holing out in the deep, giving Harbhajan his 200th ODI wicket, but that was not enough in the end to reach the 250-mark.

Ileana desperate to make her sister an actress
Some close sources close to Ileana say that the beautiful lady compelled her sister to do a hot photo shoot and is circulating the album to many big studious such as Ramanaidu and Annapoorna studios. Recently, Ileana recommended her sister name to Nagarjuna and said that she can consider her sister as a perfect match to his son Naga Chaitanya’s debut film. But the recommendation failed and so the pretty lady was disappointed.
But it is a fact that Ileana’s sister lacks the glow and charm on her face and is purely unfit to become an actress. The goa beauty recently advised her sister to try out some treatments in London for which the sister is said to be preparing.
Asin Has a Fight With Aamir!!!
Apparently, Asin is the leading lady for the film 'Ghajini' in Hindi and she has been on contract with the makers that there would be no media interactions till the movie hits the screens. But then it has been two years since the movie has been dragging on and the film has been getting delayed due to Aamir's injury and other problems. Now, Asin seems to have got to the saturation point.
There is news that Asin had a big showdown with Aamir since she needed that space to interact with the media and had to move on since big movie makers were trying to reach her. Though Aamir looks a bit surprised given Asin's shrewdness, this is a rather risky take this pretty girl is going for since this is her first movie in Hindi. - (greatandhra)

Mahesh Manjula Rehman combo to repeat again
This heroine sometimes eats uncooked Maggie or Cerelac
I am very fond of fish. Soya wine fish at Fusion9 Grill room is a must try. The taste of fish with wine is a completely new experience. I also like the fish parsley sauce served at Aromas of China. But smelly salmons and brinjal are the two things I like to stay away from.
My aunt, grandmother and mother are very good cooks. My grandmother’s Chintakaya Pachadi (imli chutney) I never miss eating. Italian cuisine is my favourite and Little Italy is the place I usually go to. I’m passionate about pizzas available there, especially rice pizzas. The tandoori fish in Mumbai and the sarso da saag in Delhi are the most memorable dishes I’ve ever had.
I also like trying local cuisines abroad. In Dubai, I had eaten Mughlai food with roti, which I still fondly remember. It was just a small eatery but the food was really good. However, in Singapore I had a bitter experience, thanks to my habit of trying local food. We had ordered a dish, which was a semi-boiled smelly fish. I love street food like chaats. My favourite is paani puri and ragada samosa.

Sanjana has paired up with him in Satyameva Jayate and Bhoomika is the main lead in the remake of Malayalam movie Hello. Yet, when he approached a Telugu speaking actress for second lead for his Bhoomika starrer, she refused to do the movie. Later he approached another Hyderabad based Telugu actress to do the same, she too declined to act with him. He then came forward to give higher the remuneration than her normal price but she didn’t accept. Poor Rajashekar! - (telugucinema)
Nag, Mahesh Babu drive crowds ecstatic
The Nandi awards function at the Lal Bahadur Stadium here on Sunday evening drew an enthusiastic response from the crowd, especially at the sight of super star Krishna and his son Mahesh Babu.
The crowds were equally ecstatic whenever actor Nagarjuna’s name was mentioned.
Even when Krishna, Mahesh Babu and Nagarjuna were shown on the two LCD screens on either side of the huge dais, there was tremendous response.
Mahesh Babu and Nagarjuna sat next to each other and were seen in conversation on a few occasions. Fans of Krishna and Mahesh Babu turned up at the venue in large numbers from different parts of the State. They were mobilised by the Krishna-Mahesh Babu Sena, a fans association. Mimicry and comedy kept the spirits of the crowd high before the commencement of the awards presentation ceremony.
Slight drizzle
A slight drizzle during the period sent the crowd scurrying for cover but they came back to watch the proceedings till the end. The crowd also stood up holding chairs over their heads for a few minutes when it drizzled.
The colourful dais with the glimmer of lights of different shades sparkled to music, dances, songs and comedy for nearly two hours until the arrival of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
A decorative background to the platform completed the filmi ambience.
A special glee from the crowd was reserved for mimicry artists Nagabhushanam and Komali sisters during their performances. - (Hindu)
No ‘lip –lock’ in Avakayi Biryani
The chemistry between Kamal and Bindu is definitely to watch out for. It would have been really nice if we actually got to see the real ’kiss’ scene in Telugu films instead of the usual songs and dancing around trees!

Ramanaidu's Congress Entry
The government is now of the congress party and they are making full use of the fact that they are in power. For regularizing the acquisitions of these lands they are asking Rama Naidu to support to the congress party.
Rama Naidu is about to contest from Bapatla as TDP representative if everything goes well. But now Congress is apparently asking him to support for them. Mr Naidu on the other hand is fighting the internal ideological war. On one side, it is a business venture and its success and on the other end an ideological commitment. No one knows what will win, but there are strong rumors that the business and its needs will win over an ideological theory in general. -(andhracafe)
Nagarjuna is miffed with media!
As he is known for his broad mentality and his bonhomie with other stars, the fans of Chiru, Nandamuri, Mahesh Babu too have soft-corner towards him. Now his inclination towards Congress made dent in his fan base. Chiranjeevi fans and Nandamuri fans might not like him the way they used to be. - (telugucinema)
Shekhar Kammula following RGV’s footsteps?
Similar to RamGopal Varma, who begun a different portrayal and narrative style through ’Siva’ in Tollywood, Shekhar Kammula turned the heads of corporate companies towards Tollywood with his first hit ’Anand’, which brought in freshness to Telugu Cinema. Like RGV, is Shekhar also heading to start a factory associating with corporate companies in Tollywood: to manufacture films? When this question is out, the people here in Telugu Industry are saying a definite ‘Yes’.
Presently, Telugu Cinema has expanded itself to international standards, and is garnering equal attention as that of Bollywood or Hollywood movies. The arrival of corporate companies into Tollywood started with Maheshbabu starrer ’Athidhi’. We sincerely wish that, continuing this trend, Shekhar Kammula should also start a cinema factory and present many more feel good films to the Telugu audience. Rock On Shekhar!!
Farzana, the girl with the most beautiful naval
Freshly, she exposed her every inch of her body to the max for the movie Kuberulu which is in the making. The film is being directed by Srinivas reddy and the movie is said to be a comedy film.

Bangkok Police arrest Abinayashree
Abhinayshree was there in Bangkok to perform in a dance programme. The organizers of this programme paid 5 lakhs to the Bangkok Police department as fine and brought Abhinayashree out.
Depression is being said as the reason for such kind of unruly behaviour by Abhinayshree. She went to depression because she no more has chances as item number in telugu cinema because Mumaith Khan is now ruling the world of item numbers in telugu cinema.
Abhinayashree who is a pure telugu girl was once a top item girl in telugu cinema industry. But she lost her chances when Mumaith Khan was imported from north for telugu item songs. Mumaith Khan slowly rose to stardom and beat all the contenders in the race of item girls. This lead Abhinayashree into depression and addiction to alcohol.
Mumaith Khan in Moodu Kothulu
Moodu Kothulu is about three naughty characters and their mischevous deeds. Sairam Shankar, Mumaith Khan and another heroine whose name is not yet announced will play these three roles. Both the heroines will have equal weightage in character as that of hero.
It was Puri Jagannath who gave Mumaith Khan the first and the biggest success of her career as item girl. He casted her in the most famous “Ippatikinka naa vayassu ninda padahare….” in Pokiri which made Mumaith Khan the queen of item numbers. Later she went on to do many item numbers in all the South Indian languages and most of her songs were chartbusters. Mumaith Khan then started to do as heroine but is still to get success.

Top telugu actors to clash in Andhra Politics
With Chiranjeevi launching his Praja Rajyam party and the main opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) banking on its founder NTR’s family, the ruling party too has decided to utilise some film glamour.
After roping in Nagarjuna to act in some television advertisements to publicise its welfare schemes, the Congress is planning to convince him to campaign for the party in the elections, due to be held in March-April next year.
The Congress began its efforts to rope in Nagarjuna soon after a massive public meeting organised by the TDP in Guntur.
NTR’s son and popular actor N Balakarishna took a plunge into politics at the meeting, which was also attended by two actor grandsons of NTR.
The ruling party’s move also came amid the ongoing state-wide ‘yatra’ of Chiranjeevi, who is attracting huge crowds.
Nagarjuna, son of thespian Akkineni Nageswara Rao, already featured in some advertisements highlighting welfare schemes of the Congress government. These advertisements hit television screens two days ago.
The 49-year-old actor, who has a mass following, had featured in a few advertisements on behalf of TDP before the 2004 elections.
Though Congress leaders often claimed that Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy alone was capable of taking on actors like Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna, the party now seems to have realised that it needs star charisma to retain power.
Congress has already made efforts to woo young and popular actor Mahesh Babu to campaign for the party. While Mahesh Babu remained non-committal, his father and superstar of yesteryears Krishna has already announced that he would support the ruling party.
Krishna, a former Congress MP, even formed an association of fans called Krishna-Mahesh Sena.
The ruling party recently inducted actors like Rajasekhar, his wife Jeevitha, Jayasudha and Srihari to add glamour in its ranks. Though TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu has not yet succeeded in roping in NTR’s grandson and one of the top actors Junior NTR, his party is confident after the success of the Guntur meeting that the star appeal of Balakrishna, his brother and TDP MP Harkrishna, NTR’s grandsons Tarakaranta and Kalyan Ram is enough to bring the party back to power.
While both Congress and TDP are adding several stars to their ranks, Chiranjeevi is fighting a lone battle by banking heavily on his fan following.

Trisha and NTR to play together
Trisha, who had teamed up with Selva earlier for Adavari Matalaku Arthale Verule, was floored by the offbeat script that he narrated and has given her consent for it. In fact, Selva has planned to make the movie in both Tamil and Telugu and Junior NTR has been approached for the Telugu version. Trisha will play the heroine in both versions.
Anushka In Men’s Hostels
Today we don’t know much about this statistics but Anushka’s photographs are ruling the walls of the various hostels of the Osmania and Andhra University. Big posters of the lady in inviting dresses are being seen at these hostel rooms. Many say Anushka is the flavor of the Telugu youth.
Her milky white skin and elongated and stretched long body is luring the youth. The posters are going unnoticed by the hostel maintenance staff.
Many students say there is stiff competition from other students who want other posters to be placed but as of now Anushka rules the roost. - (andhracafe)

Moddu Seenu was Killed today (November-09-2008)
Om prakash, a collegue of Moddu seenu at ananthapur jail attacked him and killed. Moddu seenu’s dead body has taken to ananthapur general hospital and the former TD leader’s supporters burned crackers at hospital to show their happiness.
Police confirming it as dispute between the arrested people in the jail and the new murder given a twist to ram gopal verma’s raktha charithra.
Anantapur: The factional violence in Andhra Pradesh’s Rayalseema region raised its ugly head again as a man accused of murdering former state minister Paritala Ravi was allegedly killed by another prisoner in Anantapur district jail early Sunday. Julakanti Srinivasa Reddy alias Moddu Seenu died on the spot during a clash with an undertrial around 4.30 a.m., according to the police.
Om Prakash, involved in some murder cases, hit Seenu on the head with dumbells and an iron rod, resulting in his death. He also pierced the iron rod in the victim’s eyes and cut off his ears.
The police arrested Om Prakash and four others lodged in the same cell and are questioning them.
The incident has shocked the authorities and given a new twist to Paritala Ravi’s murder and the factional violence in the Rayalseema region.
While the government tried to dismiss it as a clash between two prisoners, the main opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) saw in it a conspiracy by the Congress government to eliminate evidence in Paritala Ravi’s case to shield Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s son Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy and Minister for Panchayat Raj J.C. Diwakar Reddy.
The TDP demanded resignation of the chief minister while the latter denied the government’s role in the incident and offered to order any enquiry.
Family members of Seenu alleged that the murder was pre-planned as he was willing to turn an approver in the case.
They also claimed that Congress leader Suryanarayana Reddy alias Maddela Cheruvu Suri, the alleged mastermind in the Paritala Ravi murder case, got Seenu eliminated. Suri, who was lodged at the same jail, had allegedly threatened to kill Seenu if he turned an approver.
Paritala Ravi, a former minister and a notorious factional leader, was gunned down in Anantapur town January 24, 2005. His family members and the TDP had blamed the chief minister’s son and a state minister for the murder.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is probing the murder of Ravi, who was blamed for killing several Congress leaders.
Suri had earlier made an attempt to kill Ravi in November 1997 at Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad. Though Ravi escaped unhurt, 25 people were killed and many injured in the bomb blast that Suri set off, the police said.
Seenu’s family members said the jail authorities failed to protect him despite his complaint against Om Prakash.
Seenu, a dreaded faction leader, had gone underground after killing Ravi. He had also given an interview to a television channel owning responsibility for killing Ravi and threatened to kill two other politicians.
He, however, was caught under dramatic circumstances in Nov 2005 at a lodge in Chandanagar on the outskirts of Hyderabad. He was injured while trying to assemble an explosive device in the lodge.
Addressing a news conference in Hyderabad, Naidu demanded a judicial probe into Seenu’s murder and said it was aimed at suppressing truth to protect the chief minister’s son and the minister. He wondered how dumbells and rods found their way into the prison cell.
However, Chief Minister Reddy denied the role of his government in the killing. “What is the need for the government to get him killed. We are ready to order any sort of enquiry, including a CBI one,” he said.
The Rayalseema region comprising Anantapur, Kadpa, Chittoor and Kurnool is notorious for factional violence. Factions fighting for supremacy in villages and backed by political parties have been engaged in bloody fighting for several decades. (IANS)

Poetic justice in TDP?
Praja Rajyam president Chiranjeevi is saying ‘change’ as his main objective. TDP president Chandrababu Naidu already said that he had changed!
When NTR declared Balakrishna as his heir in politics, Naidu forced to change it. Initially, Naidu did not care Jr NTR. When he came to know that Jr NTR has sizeable fan following among the Nandamuri heroes, he started to use him. Taraka Ratna did not digest the fact that Jr NTR is being given importance and he was virtually ignored by not calling to the first two luncheon meetings at Naidu’s residence. Tarak started a different campaign saying that Balakrishna will be the CM candidate. Of course, Taraka Ratna took volte face.
Ironically, Naidu is worried about the super success of yuva garjana. Most of the Nandamuri fans will attend the meeting. Balaiah fans may demand their pound of flesh in the party.
Nithin is now in Mahesh Babu’s place
Paruchuri Murali is recognized as a good director by his films ’Andhrudu’ and ’Peddababu’. Starring Nithin and Illeana as hero and heroines, a film is currently in the making on Spectra Creations banner, in his direction.
Nithin after his one more stylish portrayal in ‘Hero’ is now in a movie directed by Paruchuri Murali. The director was widely acclaimed for his earlier films ‘Andhrudu’ and ‘Peddababu’. Now he is directing Nithin who shares screen space with pretty damsel Ileana on Spectra Creations banner.
Launched on October 9 during Dussera, it was expected that the movie will begin from the 3rd of this month. The delay was not long as it was started a day after on 4th but the news that kindles interest is, Athadu’s set is the shooting spot for this movie.
A fake house was erected earlier at Nanakramguda for the Mahesh Babu starrer ‘Athadu’ which was blockbuster hit of the year 2005. Now important scenes are being canned at the same location for the Nithin’s movie.
As ‘Athadu’ became a box office smash and acclaimed quite a few awards, it is being believed that the place will bring good luck for this flick too. - (indiaglitz)
Hansika’s cameo in Telugu version of Billa
Fast forward to the present and in 2007, Billa was remade in Tamil with Ajith as the style statement for the 21st century. Nayantara’s role, inspired by Angelina Jolie’s look in Tomb Raider, took her to dizzying heights of stardom. It was dubbed in Telugu with gratifying results as it stormed the box-office in spite of being a Tamil flick dubbed in Telugu.
Now Prabhas is acting in a Telugu film based on Billa’s script, Meher Ramesh is directing it with Anushka essaying Nayantara’s role, complete with bikini. Namitha is doing the same role that she did in the Tamil version. Krishnam Raju has a very special role.
Prabhas’ brother, Prabodh and Narendra are producing it under Gopi Krishna Movies banner. Meher Ramesh made his directorial debut in Kantri starring Junior NTR. Hansika Motwani, who was the heroine in Kantri, has a cameo in this untitled Telugu version of Billa. - (oneindia)
